About Us

Our History

Reconstruct originated as a training and development company in 1990, offering training on the Children Act 1989 to local authorities throughout England and Wales. Feedback from this led to the development of a large portfolio of courses aimed at improving skills and knowledge for child care professionals.

We have provided a consultancy service since 1997 and in 2000 we started to provide independent services directly to children and young people, commissioned through the responsible statutory agencies.

Our values

At Reconstruct we work with children, parents, carers, practitioners, managers and directors. This gives us a real insight into what is required from all perspectives.

We keep the child's voice at the centre of everything we do. We use best practice and research examples throughout our work and encourage professionals to develop a reflective and safe approach to their practice.

The independent children's services that we offer make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.

The Signis Group

In 2014, Reconstruct became part of the Signis Group. The Group also includes tri.x who provide safeguarding policies and web enabled solutions and PRICE training who provide a range of positive behaviour support courses.

Working together, our companies benefit from our in-depth knowledge and experience of the social care industry. We share our customers’ aspiration to ensure that the services they provide are rooted in evidence-based best practice.
