Our story

SUPPORTING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE FOR OVER 30 YEARS

Established in 1990, Reconstruct is an experienced provider of independent services to the social care sector. We support vulnerable children and adults via our network of committed volunteers and professionals, as well as the team around them. We deliver our services via contract, or on an ad-hoc, 'pay as you go', basis and work with a number of local authorities and independent providers across the UK.

Reconstruct was born out of a desire to achieve positive change for children and young people impacted by the social care system. Combining talent, passion and innovation with one goal in mind - to achieve better outcomes for children and families. We know things can be done better, this drives us daily and to continually grow to provide services which are fundamentally designed to ensure they make a real difference to those who use them.

our team

Our teams of experts within the social care sector have decades of experience, united by a common vision to enhance the well-being of children, young people, families and vulnerable adults. Through a combination of our knowledge, skills and experience in children and adults’ social care, consultancy, and training, we are dedicated to impacting positive change across the sector, offering support to those in need and the teams around them.

Leanne McGowan, Head of Service at Reconstruct, has extensive operational experience gained across children’s services over the last 20 years. Leanne supports our employed teams, manages local authority relationships, oversees delivery of KPIs against existing contracts and mobilises new contracts.

Combining expertise through direct work, consultancy, and training to improve the lives of vulnerable children and adults.
